merci à nos amis anglais qui ont fait le déplacement!!

C'est vrai superbe week-end avec ce grand moment (entre autres) qu'a été la patrouille "de nuit" . Les amateurs de sensations ont été comblés .Lorsque tout est noir et silencieux , la première salve ennemie , ça surprend .Encore bravo et merci à tous les participants .

C'est vrai que voir les fusils cracher dans la nuit est fort impressionnant, le premier coup de feu était le miens et j'en suis pas peu fier

  pov' nul!! c'était moi qui était juste devant et tu m'as éclater l'oreille et en plus j'ai eu trop peur!!!

Firstly, Thank you all for an absolutely superb weekend.The hospitality you showed us was second to non.I will admit at first we were a little apprehensive as to what we would be walking into, but that apprehension soon dissapeared as soon as we arrived.
I think we can all take notice of all the positive aspects that came from this weekend, renewed friendships and new ones made.Long may they continue.
The Confederate Company, soon settled in and worked together very well despite the language barrier the NCO's performed well and the men performed their duties admirably.
One of the best times for me was round the camp fire on Saturday evening, with a lot of hearty singing to the accompaniment to the fife, with most joining in and others just watching and taking in the ambience, that was superb.
The fighting was very well done, with both sides playing the game.
The engagements were not too long and did'nt get the chance to get silly,
Alain must be congratulated on his choice of Rations they were superb, and well thought out.
All in all we had a very enjoyable time, it was very enlightening.Thank you again for an excellent weekend.
The trip home was not without incident, we hit force 8 gales in the channel which meant we were diverted to Portsmouth instead of docking at Newhaven, which was good for me as I only had to drive for 3/4 of an hour to get home, for the others it meant a slightly longer drive but easier roads, and we docked an hour and a half later than we should have.
Hopefully we will all meet again sometime soon.

Premièrement, merci tout pendant un week-end absolument superbe. L'hospitalité vous nous avez montrés qu'était en second lieu à non. J'admettrai qu'au début nous étions peu des appréhensifs quant dans à ce que nous marcherions, mais cette appréhension dissapeared bientôt dès que nous sommes arrivés. Je pense que nous pouvons tout prendre la notification de tous aspects positifs qui sont venus de ces week-end, amitiés remplacées et neufs faits. Long peuvent ils continuer. Confederate Company, bientôt arrangée dedans et travaillée ensemble très bien en dépit de la barrière linguistique les NCO exécutée bien et les hommes a effectué leurs fonctions admirablement. Un des meilleurs temps pour moi était autour du feu de camp samedi soirée, avec beaucoup de chant chaleureux à l'accompagnement au fifre, avec se joindre dedans et d'autres juste observant et rentrant l'ambiance, qui était superbe. Le combat était très bien cuit, avec les deux côtés jouant le jeu. Les engagements n'étaient pas trop longs et le did'nt obtiennent la chance de devenir idiot, Alain doit être félicité sur son choix des rations qu'ils étaient superbes, et pensée bonne dehors. Tout en tout que nous avons eu un temps très agréable, il éclairait très. Merci encore pendant un excellent week-end. La maison de voyage n'était pas sans incident, nous avons frappé des rafales de la force 8 dans le canal qui a signifié que nous avons été détournés à Portsmouth au lieu de l'accouplement à New Haven, qui était bon pour moi car je seulement ai dû conduire pour 3/4 d'une heure pour devenir à la maison, parce que les autres qu'il a signifié une commande légèrement plus longue mais des routes plus faciles, et nous ont accouplé une heure et une moitié plus tard que nous devrions avoir. Si tout va bien nous nous réunirons tout encore autrefois bientôt. Les amitiés les plus sincères

Thanks to you Steve and to all the lads of England, you are the best Lieutenant whom I saw in 10 years, what does not mean that the others were bad, but just that you have a feeling and an experience (experiment) with regard to the spot which falls to you that the others did not have, it is especially thanks to you that the fights of this weekend were also realistic …

I am very happy to see that you came back home safely, despite a sea storm.
All the french participants really enjoyed this week end. In the name of the 20th Maine, I would again say thank you so much for your coming. We really had a wonderfull time together. And I can say that it was the best event we had in France for a very long time!

I sincerely hope that we will be able to come to England next year with more than 3 men - and that we'll share another great week end together !

The other good thing was to be able to finally meet in person the many people who I have only spoken to on this Forum.

Que dire? Tellement de choses. Mais j'aimerai remercier avant les anglais, nos organisateurs français qui ont su si bien nous organiser tout ça avec les avantages des différents participants. Et ceci dans un cadre très beau (malgrès avions et chateau d'eau). Les rails fences étaient très sympa!!! En plus les distances entres les camps étaient superbes et très réalistes.

Maintenant  au tour de nos hôtes d'honneurs.

What for a superbe command and comrads. Steve, your quality as officer are great! Your are an example. The first sergeant too. A special thanks to my "brothers of squad": Andy, Mindy and Nathanael. The third squad of the first platoon was the best   With that, a wonderful mood! The private Rees and the Thomson family (Thomson A, B, C, D,...)where too great! Thanks all for you sympathie and mood!
