Hi Armand-

Beautiful work!! Perhaps yu could help me with a delemna regarding the rear cargo port. It appears in the plans that there is a style laid up against the rudder post where the fashion timbers join it, constituting a vertical frame to the port, but it isn't clear to me. Your photos of the stern, as near as I can tell, don't show any framing there for the port. The related question would be: what kind of port door arrangement would there be? Woould it have been the same as a gun port? If so, shouldn't there be some kind of framing for the port to close against?

Beau travail! Peut être pourriez vous m'aider à propos du sabord de charge.  En regardant les plans, je vois qu'il y a un montant vertical contre l'étambot entre la lisse d'hourdi et la barre d'écusson.   Je ne vois pas cette pièce sur vos photos.
Une autre question: quelle sorte de porte (mantelet) est utilisé pour le sabord de charge?  Les mêmes dispositions que pour les autres sabords? Si oui, ne doit-il pas y être façonné une sorte de cadre pour pouvoir le fermer?

In regards to the loading port lid, there isn't any.  The port is covered by the planking which is cut off and removed when needed.  See plate 26 where you can see the layout for the planking.

En ce qui concerne le mantelet pour le sabord de charge; il n<y en a pas.  Le sabord est recouvert par le bordage qui est decoupé quand nécessaire.  Voir planche 26 ou est montré la dispostion du bordage arrière.

J'ai vraiment beaucoup de mal en ce moment à associer mes contraintes professionnelles avec des petits bouts de bois, j'imagine que je ne suis pas le seul, et le GV, il va lui falloir un peu plus de temps que prévu avant d'être fini   Donc très peu de photos d'avancement en ce moment ...

La poupe avance doucement, et je commence à équiper le pont:

Si Marcel, les coins de l'étambrai sont corrects, il manque simplement la toile peinte qui recouvre le tout et qu'Armand n'a pas mis en place (justement pour faire voir ces coins).
Sur le Rhone, la toile  étanche que vous aviez mis en place dans un premier temps, n'était vraiment pas terrible, mais vous avez arrangé tout çà.

Yes Marcel, the wedge are done right.  Only missing the canvas cover to cover the whole thing and which Armand has not done to show the wedges.
The canvas cover that you had initially put in place was not that great but you did make another one that was much better.
