La lanterne n'a pas été peinte la partie en buis (le haut et le bas) ont été passé à l'encre de chine, les fenêtres en laiton à la tourmaline.

It was not painted.  The boxwood portions (top and bottom) have been treated with indian ink.  The glass framing is blackened brass.

Marcel, toutes mes félicitations pour ce magnifique Rhône que vous nous présentez, il est vraiment très beau. Photographié sur un fond noir ou de teinte unie il présentera encore nettement mieux, j'espère qu'on verra une série de photos.

Ou sera le Rhone cet été?   disons début Août?  Je seari de passage en Bretagne entre le 1 et 3 Août.

A great model.  As Jean Paul suggested, a few photos taken in front of a dark backdrop would be nice to show the completed model.
