I don't find a specific reference but I would think a small eye in the end of the securoty bar and a matching eye in the rack would accomodate a padlock appropriate to the period through both eyes.

To summ up the replies posted on GD forum:
GD said that there was no security bar installed.  An example of the musket rack was shown fitted with a chain on the Victory.  This system is likely due to secure the guns as the ship is open to the public (so that nothing gets stolen)
Carrick also mentionned that on modern ships the rifles are chained and that it may have been done in the old navy as well.

Encore une question Marcel, vous faites les cotés babord et tribord d'après ce qu'on peut voir sur les photos,allez-vous ouvrir un coté de la coque, ou allez-vous faire une ouverture par le dessus pour pouvoir admirer votre travail?

Simplement comme ceci:

Je coupe une fine bande de laiton,
I cut a thin strip of brass,



puis à l'aide d'une pince de bijoutier je torsade une extrémité...
Then using a pair of pliers I roll one extremity ...



un point de soudure à l'étain à l'aide d'un fer à souder (fine pane)
Apply tin solder with a soldering iron



Et les gonds sont terminés.
Done.

je réalise une encoche

J'engage la ferrure

The hinge plate is fitted



Je noie de cyano la ferrure et colle le capuchon de l'encoche.

It is glued on with cyano to envelop it.  



Et voilà La porte s'ouvre et se ferme

And the door opens and closes

Ensuite je colle sur les emplacements des gonds visibles un placage en poirier très fin.

Then the plate is covered with a very thin piece of lumber.
