Un petit doute, la jonction des herpes sur le guibre est-elle l'une contre l'autre comme sur le plan ou comme sur le dessin ?

Si je me réfère au 74 canons (n°2, planche 17, dessin B), les herpes s'arrêtent de part et d'autre du gibelot, sans que leur pointes ne se touchent.

Ce serait donc comme le 2ème dessin, mais la pointe étant raccourcie et arrondie jusqu'à entailler la pointe avant du gibelot de la largeur de la guibre, cette facette avant du gibelot étant alors alignée avec le can inférieur de la guibre.

Refering to the 74 gun ship (#2 plate 17 drawing B) the headrails stop on the sides of the saddle and the points do not contact each other.
It would then be like is shown in the drawing. but the point being shortened and rounded to fit the forward point of the saddle.

Le dernier dessin est le bon. Sur le plan, il faut supprimer les deux petits traits parasites à droite qui ont servi pour l'épure et non supprimés...

Sur le 74 canons, Boudriot indique la forme ci-dessous. Mais le 74 est nettement plus gros, ceci pouvant expliquer celà.

Les traits bleus indiquent l'aiguille supérieure, sur le GV la disposition est un poil différente, j'ai du mal à visualiser la vue F de la planche 16, concernant l'extrémité des herpes.
